Attendance data is collected from schools each term. This data is used for formal reporting of attendance, including calculating rates of regular attendance, which is the percentage of students that attended school for more than 90% of the term.
Daily attendance shows the number of students attending each day. This information is currently collected weekly and presented by day, from Term 1 2025 the data will be collected daily.

Every Day Matters is a termly attendance report the Ministry provides to schools. The report highlights attendance patterns in the school and provides actionable insights to improve student attendance. The report includes the school’s Regular Attendance for the term, an overview of the reasons given for absence, insightful trends and next steps.
