PISA 2022 Data Services
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is an international education research study of 15-year-olds who are nearing the end of compulsory schooling. PISA 2022 is the eighth cycle of this OECD research programme which began in 2000. While typically PISA is on a three-yearly cycle, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, PISA 2021 was postponed to 2022. Eighty-one countries took part in PISA 2022.
Students’ mathematical, reading, and scientific literacy are assessed, which are foundational for success and informed citizenship in the modern world. Mathematics was the focus domain and creative thinking was the innovative domain in PISA 2022.
PISA evaluates how well-prepared students are to meet real-life opportunities and challenges after they finish school and monitors progress towards raising achievement and reducing inequity.
