Student Engagement
These reports provide analysis of stand-downs, suspensions, exclusions, expulsions, and early leaving exemptions for students enrolled in state or state-integrated schools.
The first report under the current system was released in September 2000, covering the July 1999 to June 2000 period. The second report covered the period 1 January to 31 December 2000. Subsequent reports are produced for each calendar year.

This is the eighth annual report on student engagement, provides information on how New Zealand students are engaged in their learning using the key indicators of stand-downs, suspensions, expulsions, exclusions and early leaving exemptions that identify the levels of disengagement occurring in our schools.
