Executive Summary
The ENGAGE programme aims to enhance children’s self-regulation skills through intentional play. This report brings together the perspectives of ENGAGE facilitators, early learning kaiako/teaching staff (including centre mangers and support staff), and whānau. The report focuses on data collected via an online survey, in-depth interviews, talanoa and wānanga (also likened to focus groups). The evaluation objectives are:
- Identify the impacts on kaiako, as well as kaiako and whānau perceptions on the impacts of tamariki who participated in ENGAGE.
- Evaluate the sustainability of outcomes for learning services.
- Identify implementation factors that contribute to the success of ENGAGE.
