Summary
A cross-agency working group including members from Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga – the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage (MCH) and Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa (CNZ) commissioned this evaluation of the Creatives in Schools project.
The evaluation was undertaken by Pragmatica Limited, and field work was completed between September and November 2023. This focused on collecting student voice, with evaluators speaking to a range of students from eight schools across New Zealand.
Alongside the primary evaluation, a supplementary analysis was completed at the request of our cross-agency partners (MCH and CNZ) to better understand how Creatives in Schools contributes to student attendance and engagement. This is included as part of the Round 4 report.
