The data presented provide a snapshot of student achievement in pāngarau, tuhituhi and pānui as it relates to the Māori medium curriculum. It also draws links between student achievement and attitudes, gender, length and type of immersion and frequency of Māori language spoken at home. 

Contents of He Kete Raraunga

1.  Three 'In Focus' reports
The 'In Focus' reports present asTTle student achievement data in pāngarau, tuhituhi and pānui in Māori medium primary settings. These reports are available in both English and Māori.

2.  'Talk About It' sheets
The purpose of the 'Talk About It' sheets is to generate discussion and further thinking regarding some of the issues raised in the In Focus reports.

3.  Māori Medium Student Outcome Overview 2001-2005 report
The report presents findings from asTTle and NCEA in Māori medium education.

4.  Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) sheet
The FAQ sheet provides useful information about asTTle and NCEA.
