Vocational Pathway Awards

This provides ways to achieve NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3 and develop pathways that progress to further study, training and employment. The Vocational Pathways provide a framework for students to show how their learning and achievement is valued in the workplace by aligning learning to the skills needed for industry.

School leavers are identified from the Ministry of Education’s ENROL system, while vocational pathway award is obtained from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

Identical information is available for the region's territorial authorities using the drop down menu above. For other territorial authorities first choose the appropriate region from the drop down menu above.

Alternatively further information on Vocational Pathway awards can be found through the indicator Vocational Pathway Awards.

2017 data have not been updated in these tables but National and school level data is available in Senior Student Attainment statistics.

Notes:

  1. ‘x’ = data has been suppressed where there are between 0 and 5 students in the denominator for a specific group, for example Asian Females. Where one gender has been suppressed the corresponding gender has also been suppressed.
  2. Ethnicity is multiple response, that is, students who affiliated in more than one ethnic group have been counted in each ethnic group. Students are only counted once in the total, therefore, the ethnic groups may not sum to the total.
  3. International fee-paying students are excluded. Alternative education students are included in National totals, but, not in the school they are funded from.
