Service Type: Leo o Fanau Moana Bilingual Leo o fanau moana bilingual are a type of education and care centre licensed by the Ministry of Education where one Pacific language is used at least 51% of the time as the language of communication and instruction with children, including in the implementation of the curriculum. English is accepted as a temporary language of instruction and communication. Not all children in the service are expected to interact freely in 1 Pacific language, however, will do so when instructed.

Age: Service provides for all ages The age groups that a service is licensed for. For example, whether they are licensed for under 2 year olds or just two year olds and over.

Offers '20 hours': Yes 20 Hours allows for those aged three and over in licensed services to receive up to 20 hours a week of early childhood education with no compulsory fees. Unknown status has been assigned to new services that have not yet submitted an RS7 form to the Ministry of Education.
