Published School Documents

These documents have been provided by schools for the Ministry to host on their behalf. We only host these for schools that don’t maintain their own websites.

Under the Education and Training Act 2020 and the Education (School Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2023 , boards of state and state-integrated schools must make their strategic plan, annual implementation plan, annual report and attendance management plan publicly available on an internet site.

If a school does not maintain its own site the Ministry of Education hosts these documents on behalf of the school. Boards must ensure that all published documents comply with privacy requirements and do not include any information that could breach an individual’s privacy.

Publishing these documents online ensures that parents, whanau and the wider community can access key information about:

  • what a school plans to achieve in the current year
  • progress made towards the strategic goals
  • how a board has managed school finances
  • the schools’ strategies for improving student attendance and engagement

This supports community engagement and accountability, and helps build trust in the schools’ governance, planning, and commitment to student wellbeing.
