The following data tables include the data used to produce this indicator.

In line with the School Trustees who are Pasifika indicator, the numbers included in these three tables relate only to schools where there are at least 5 Pasifika students and 10% or more of the roll are Pasifika. Numbers relating to boards of trustees that are Pasifika irrespective of the number or proportion of students that are Pasifika in the school can be obtained from the data tables relating to the indicator School Trustees who are Māori.

Notes:

  1. This indicator is a snapshot of the composition of boards of trustees as at 1 December of each year.
  2. The data here is presented as a proportion of parent elected, appointed and co-opted representative boards of trustees members.  Other members, such as school principals, staff representatives, student representatives and proprietors' representatives are not included in this analysis.
  3. The data here relate only to schools where there are at least 5 Pasifika students and 10% or more of the roll are Pasifika.
  4. The ethnic group Other includes Not Stated.
  5. For this indicator ethnicity is prioritised in the order of Māori, Pasifika, Asian, other groups except European/Pākehā, and European/Pākehā.
  6. For this indicator European/Pākehā refers to people who affiliate as New Zealand European, Other European or European (not further defined).  For example, this includes and is not limited to people who consider themselves as Australian (excluding Australian Aborigines), British and Irish, American, Spanish, and Ukrainian.

Notes:

  2. The Chatham Islands County is a separate county outside the standard Regional Council boundaries.
  3. This indicator is a snapshot of the composition of boards of trustees as at 1 December of each year.
  4. The data here is presented as a proportion of parent elected, appointed and co-opted representative boards of trustees members.  Other members, such as school principals, staff representatives, student representatives and proprietors' representatives are not included in this analysis.
  5. The data here relate only to schools where there are at least 5 Pasifika students and 10% or more of the roll are Pasifika.
  6. Total = the total number of appointed/co-opted and elected boards of trustees from schools in the region where there are at least 5 Pasifika students and 10% or more of the roll are Pasifika.
