SDR (Single Data Return)

This page describes the SDR (Single Data Return) data collection, and the Tertiary Data Warehouse through which the data is made available.

SDR

The Single Data Return is a data collection used for the purposes of funding students at tertiary education providers and for statistical reporting requirements. The information is required to be completed by all providers that receive the EFTS based tuition subsidy or have students with Student Loans or Allowances.

Data are supplied by tertiary education providers three times a year (as at 30 April, 31 August, and 31 December). Information is collected about student characteristics, course enrolment details, course and qualification completions, course details, and student numbers (equivalent full time students).

Tertiary Data Warehouse

The SDR along with payments data, is collate into pre-aggregated data cubes that can be queried and viewed using a web browser. These data cubes form theTertiary Data Warehouse.
