Resource Teachers: Literacy Data Collection forms
Resource Teachers of Literacy (RT:Lit) are specialist teachers who support and assist staff and students in Years 1 to 8 who are experiencing difficulties with literacy learning.
Summary
Data on students support by RT:Lit are collected annually. The purposes of this data collection is to identify the nature of the support the RT:Lit provided to students during the year and to report on students outcomes and progress while receiving RT:Lit support. The annual report does not cover all aspects of RT:Lit work. It focuses on the outcome of the students who received the intervention.

Resource Teachers of Literacy – Data collection forms for 2011
A brief description of the 2011 data collection forms for Resource Teachers of Literacy follows. The downloadable forms appear at the end of this page.- Instructions: These instructions will assist RT:Lit in completing the data collection forms for 2011. The instructions also highlight key changes that have been made to the 2011 forms.
- Part 1 - Cluster Overview: The Part 1 form provides an overview of each cluster, including a summary of the students who were on the roll of RT:Lit in the cluster. This form should be completed by one RT:Lit in each cluster.
- Part 2 - Individual Student Form: This form is to be completed for each student on your roll that you have worked with in 2011. This includes students that you instructed directly (regular tutoring) on an individual basis or as part of a small group and cases where you provided indirect instruction to the student and support to the class teacher.
Both PDF and Word files for the documents described above are attached (see below). The different formats are identical, please print out your preferred option, fill out and return to the Ministry. The address is:
